LOCATION: North Central Texas - Float Pool

SCHEDULE: Full Time, Monday - Friday: Day Shift, with occasional Saturdays

HOURS: Start Time as early as 6am, End Time as late as 5:30pm

 

 

The Supervisor of Float Pool for Operations will assist with the daily operations of the Float Pool for the designated region and its clinical centers. The Float Pool Supervisor will also be a resource for team leadership, guidance, staff training and development, and staff support to the Float Pool team, Market Directors, Center Directors, Operations Executives, HR, Payroll and Accounting. This person will spend at least 80% of their time working clinically as a float technologist with the remainder of their time spent coordinating appropriate staffing across all the zones and other project management activities. The Float Pool Supervisor will have ultimate accountability and responsibility in managing all members of the float pool staff, the day-to-day management of the pool, and the long range planning required to proactively anticipate operational needs.

 Responsibilities:

  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Supervise a team of Float-designated Patient Service Representatives, Clinical Assistants, Mammographers, and Sonographers.
  • Responsible for decisions relating to hiring and onboarding, partnering with the VP and HR in disciplinary actions when needed, coaching & development of team members, and recommendations of actions and decisions applicable for float-pool retention and recruitment.
  • Monitor float pool employees regarding work performance, attendance, compliance training, and certification/licensure requirements and take appropriate steps to ensure Solis standards are being met; Perform annual evaluation of float pool staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective orientation and follow-up training of float pool team members covering the Solis Way, Promise Book, Playbook, and center-specific general orientation.
  • Reconcile timekeeping transactions each month to ensure accurate allocation of hours to worked locations per employee and the timely delivery of float pool chargebacks by center each month to central Accounting for inclusion in the month-end financial close process.
  • Act as point of contact for center directors and market directors for all concerns relating to float pool scheduling, quickly responding to any requests in a timely, transparent, and consistent manner.
  • Ensures a safe working environment for all team members and a safe healthcare environment for patients.
  • Creates an environment that recognizes team members for a job well done.
  • Provides feedback to management on performance, identifies systemic issues and provides recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate in annual budget development and ensure the float pool is fiscally responsible with adherence to the budget in controllable expenses.
  • Serve as a centralized training resource and mentor for clinical staff needing additional education or for staff desiring to pursue promotional opportunities as QC technologists or Leads.
  • Travel to satellite locations and clinic sites may be necessary to perform job duties.

Qualifications:

  • Current, non-restricted licensure in state of work location is required;
  • Current ARRT advanced level certification in Mammography; and/or ARDMS registered
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years of healthcare industry experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies preferred;
  • Ability to perform functions using job-related software and systems;
  • Strong desire to serve patients;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Prior experience with RIS/PACS preferred;
  • Completion of formal radiologic technologic technology training program;
  • Understands and communicates medical terminology;
